A heavy layer of wet snow collapsed the roof of the Azle VFW Post in February doing massive damage to the structure. While this was a setback for the Post, it also is an opportunity to upgrade a thirty year old building and to make it more energy efficient, modern and user friendly.

A smaller VFW Annex has been opened next door until a new building is finished. The work on the new building is proceeding quickly. The building slab was reconfigured and a laminated floor was poured over the old one. The new outside structure is all done and work is underway on the interior. The new Post building will be bigger, roomier, more user friendly and more efficient to operate. We are excited about getting the work completed and moving in. Follow our progress..
